In pursuing its investment objectives, the Fund seeks to achieve favorable after-tax returns for its shareholders by seeking to minimize the U.S. federal income tax consequences on income generated by the Fund. Once again, with all the bullishness in oil (just look at the price for past couple weeks plus what Saudi Arabia is saying today), PTA didn'd need to do a financing at the lowest price point of the stock and I believe they only did it to reward the largest shareholders for sticking with the company through this major stock price decline (this financing was probably to allow largest shareholders to average down by buying shares at 20 cents and also explains why the financing was done over night and all shares already taken).
