RE:This guy the Dave

RE:This guy the DaveThat's a very good point and would explain the "logic" of the repetitive posts with certain keywords.  I thought it was just a failure of the Canadian mental health system, but you may be right.  There are computer trading algorthims that trade on keywords like"reverse split" and "fraud" in news releases and flurries of a keyword appearing in message board posts.  I hope it was program trading that shorted PTA at the lows on the "news" for the US fraud with a similar name last week.  Hope their program generated a nice big fat loss on that one.
I must have seen about a 1000 posts here claiming the reverse split is going to be negative.  I bet  the stock spikes up on a split adjusted basis when it finally happens.  Seems like a lot of people think they will be able to buy shares or cover shares more cheaply after the split.  I've seen some solid companies (TAT and RAS for example) spike higher on a reverse split.  When everyone thinks something will hapen, it usually causes the opposite to happen in trading.
