I think I've had too many rum's to properly address the issue of religion but in fairness SEVEN consider that just as many people have been slaughtered for territorial or racial or other misguided ideals. The difference is that it was entirely coherent for Hitler (random example) to exterminate Jews as it was a logical extension of his philosophy; where as it is hard to reconcile the sermon on the mount with the actions of the Crusaders or of Jim and Tammy.... The Chinese who have banned religion are finding that their young are amoral and are searching for a substitute.
