RE:RE:RE:RE:bashing

RE:RE:RE:RE:bashingAves here is some old information for you and at the 2014 AGM lab tour Geoff Taylor explained how he had achieved what is described below and the improvements he had made. He also described how  this was scalable well below 40nm in a modern fab. What has happened since then? How much due diligence took place before TB was appointed to the TRAB? Do you really think for one minute that all of a suddenly this got dropped. Where would this work take place? No one is allowed to know and no one is talking about it. It certainly is not at UCONN and it’s not in NJ at Anadigics. And I doubt very much whether BAE has the equipment needed for this development since that facility is geared to much larger node development.
The POET platform was moved forwards. The nHFET and the pHFET were realized as a complementary pair and operated as a ring oscillator. It was determined that the pHFET was slow because of the large capacitance between gate and source and a technique using oxygen implants was devised to solve this problem. The devices were scaled to 100nm and it was found that a new contact technique was required to eliminate the short channel effect and the drain induced barrier lowering. Also lift-off had to be eliminated as unsuitable for production. A new metallurgy was devised.
Supplement what you just read with the detail contained in Yingming’s CV.
And on another subject.
Aves, you want to draw some kind of conclusion with Gannon being replaced? You really do not have a concept of the differences between Gannon who was associated with Adam Chowaniec’s  Ottawa technology group and the Senior VP of new technologies at Applied Materials. Aves these are the kinds of arguments we always heard you making every other day. But I must say that it was better than hearing you complain practically every day about being invested in this company for 3.5 years and how you were lied to. How often did we hear you say the same thing over and over again Aves. The same story again and again. And as far as seeing both sides of the coin. Yes you used to flip flop continuously often in the same day from one extreme to the next.
Now Aves you are saying that myself and the herd are convinced that Apple are secretly developing PET. I don’t think that is being truthful. I don’t know what is taking place because it would of course be a secret wouldn’t it. What are the chances that this is an ongoing effort? I think they are pretty good but I am one of the people who believe that what industry is really waiting for is the full blown POET chip. I will definitely keep my mind open to probabilities that industry will be satisfied with full electronic integration and the significant benefits it would offer as a first step.
