RE:RE:RE:revenuestigma...I am going to respond to you this one time. You don’t really have a clue of what you are talking about.
The reason POET left Anadigics is because there were operational concerns. They weren’t getting it done. Now when you consider that Anadigics bread and butter is an extremely crowded market you had better be really good at what you do or you won’t survive. Let me ask you a question and I want you to answer it honestly if you can. I probably won’t read it but you can answer it for the people here on this forum to give them some perspective on what your level of understanding is. Do you know what Anadigics business was? Why they were losing money? Why their market cap sucked? There is a reason but I don’t really think you understand.
Clearly you have no idea what POET is because if you did you would recognize why the company does have a significant market cap and why this company is on the move with such competent and highly technical management.
Take out a ruler and look at 2mm or .078 of an inch. Now think about a square chip 2mm X 2mm. Now consider this…thousands of dies this size would fit on a 6 inch wafer. Now consider a chip this size having 40gbps single mode transceiver capability at infinite extinction ratio and using minimal power. Can you imagine how badly industry would want such a chip this size for 3d bonding inside the server for chip to chip communications to interconnect everything? I think POET is being pushed real hard right now to get it done. Did you know that with the lower number of layers in the POET epi stack it only takes a couple of hours to build the wafer using MOCVD. And Wavetek are so good at what they do with so much capacity. I don’t know whether they will be able to ramp the capacity high enough at DL to slice, dice and wrap plastic around those wafers but if not they are in the right spot to gain access to assembly.
Of course this is just my opinion. By the way POET is inviting analysts to the Town Hall meeting. This is really the first time that I know of where POET will present to analyst. They have in the past avoided this because they were not ready to discuss the technology in detail. They are ready now and I think we are going to get an earful very soon when these analyst hear what POET really is. And of course while Suresh is in Toronto it would be wise to check out the BNN guest schedule.
The market is going to come up to speed real quick.
