POET Technologies Ord Shs V.PTK

Alternate Symbol(s):  POET

POET Technologies Inc. is a design and development company. It offers high-speed optical engines, light source products and custom optical modules to the artificial intelligence (AI) systems market and to hyperscale data centers. Its photonic integration solutions are based on the POET Optical Interposer, a novel, patented platform that allows the integration of electronic and photonic devices into a single chip using wafer-level semiconductor manufacturing techniques. Its Optical Interposer-based products consume less power than comparable products, are smaller in size and are readily scalable to high production volumes. In addition, it has designed and produced novel light source products for chip-to-chip data communication within and between AI servers, the next frontier for solving bandwidth and latency problems in AI systems. Its Optical Interposer platform solves device integration challenges across a range of communication, computing and sensing applications.

RE:RE:RE:RE:Transceiver Sampling

RE:RE:RE:RE:Transceiver Sampling

Your statement that I misunderstand the tech and technological progress lacks merit.  Based on what?  Have we met somewhere, perhaps at a conference?  To date, you have not provided a single bit of evidence to support your position, while others are able to provide at least some publicly available evidence to counter your position.  How about this, since it appears you fancy yourself an authority in the industry, please provide your bona fides for all to see.  Engineer, semi exec, transceiver sales, etc? To break the ice, let's start with a skill testing question:  Please describe to the audience in generally accepted industry terms what is an alpha sample and what is a beta sample, and key differentiators?  This is an open book question so use whatever means needed to respond!

pennyflipping wrote: I think you are the perfect example of someone who made extremely poor conclusions misunderstanding NRs, the tech, the progress of the R&D, etc... Now poet is short on cash, delaying milestones and the promoters and decade longs are struggling to find a way to spin the situation. Your speculations about NDAs are clearly wrong just adds to the general clueless. Poet should have gone under years ago and 2024 could very well be the year! LOL

once again, your conclusions are based on what?  Where does the company state these alpha and beta samples are strictly in-house non commercially viable lab grade prototypes.  Where does the company state these samples are just for funsies?  Have you read the signed agreement with Fibertop that states the company won't actually be providing them with any real alpha and beta samples?

Based on your comments and lack of substantive information, I am confident your statement is an opinion, and though you are entitled to it, there's plenty of direct evidence that suggests otherwise.  Therefore, most would conclude this is what what you think, not what you know.  Of course, people are welcome to listen to you, but should be advised there are likely more reputable sources of information they can draw upon to come to their own conclusions.  As it stands, all publicly available information runs completely counter to your position.

example, from the AGM:

Under accomplishments (ie actually done): "Completed customers samples of various products (100G/200G FR4, 100G LR4, 400G Rx FR4)"

You'll note it says customer's samples.  If you choose not to believe what the company is stating, that's entirely up to you.

For those who insist the company hasn't started sampling any of their products, therefore have no chance of any commercial production through 2023, the following seems to dispute that notion.  This is what I mean about providing evidence for your statements.

'POET announces sampling of 400G FR4 and 800G (2x400G FR4)

From this year's AGM, Completed customers samples of various products (100G/200G FR4, 100G LR4, 400G Rx FR4) to various customers:
