POET needed money and went on a news release and promotional frenzy in order to get the SP up to where a financing would appear acceptable to most shareholders....

mission accomplished, they then arrange a financing at $0.85 with the usual banksters....

the share price however had risen too fast past that price and something had to be done to apply the brakes - you know for appearances sake.....

a story about an upcoming reverse split that may or may not be needed and may or may not happen at any point in the forseeable future was released to the masses....

the share price rally ends and the SP falls back to around financing levels as expected....

reasonably priced options can now be awarded in the next little while before the next news release blitz...
