Could Toyota be next in Ontario?Toyota is eyeing Ontario for its electric vehicle (EV) expansion. The province has been actively attracting major automakers to invest in EV production and an end-to-end loop. From Ontario sourced minerals to Cathode chemical production to Battery manufacturing through to EV production. As frustrating as this bear market has been one must be aligned with the belief that this bear market will not last. With Stellantis, VW and now Honda committed to Billions of dollars of investment in Battery Plants in Ontario the value of a high-grade Lithium Supply in Ontario will only increase in value. My guess is these Auto Manufacturers will begin looking for an equity or JV position in the actual miners just as Mitsubishi did with Frontier Lithium.
