RE: RE: Foursquare Brings Explore Tab to Desktops

I think Poynt needs to remain focused on smartphone apps.

It's a growth company, with no revenue as of yet, and limited access to financing.

As such, Poynt can't afford to be trying to be all things to all people.

Pick the strategy and focus on it.

Smartphones are where the growth is.

Over time, people have been moving to smaller computer gadgets.

In the 1950's, computers were as large as entire rooms.

In the 1960's computers were maybe the size of an office desk or dresser drawer.

By the 1980's, Personal Computers could fit on the desk (i.e. the Desktop).

By the 1990's, laptops were starting to win favour over the bulkier desktops.

Now here we are in 2012.

Desktops are out of fashion, and laptops are being replaced by tablets and smartphones.

Smartphones and tablets are where the growth is.

Poynt is right to remain focused on this channel to monetize the value inherent in the company.

All in IMHO.
