Quantum eMotion Corp V.QNC

Alternate Symbol(s):  QNCCF

Quantum eMotion Corp. is a Canada-based developer of cryptographic solutions. The Company is developing quantum random number generators (QRNG). It has launched its new QRNG2, an USB key that delivers pure entropy at 1.5 Gb/s. Its QRNG2 technology is the quantum random number generator, which is used in consumer electronics. QNG2 provides security to mobile and Internet transactions, Internet of Things (IoT) communication, machine-to- machine connections, networking equipment and cloud-based applications. Its technology is also applicable to others, such as datacenters, blockchain technologies, financial services, cloud-based information technology (IT) security infrastructure, classified government networks and communication systems, secure device keying (Internet of Things (IOT), automotive, consumer electronics) and quantum cryptography industry.

So, ID Quantique teams up with Secure Channels to create an IoT fix.
Qnc seems to have the solution already and appears ready to deploy—a full entropy solution
that fits into a microprocessor chip.
Qnc’s solution Is the holy trinity in the business of securing encryptions—size, speed and scale.
Add affordability to the mix and you get a company with extreme revenue potential.
What’s a tech that secures the IoT worth?
I reckon a lot more than 23 cents a share.

It also has the capacity to deliver up to 1 Gigabits per second (“Gbps”) of full-entropy random numbers and is small enough to be embedded in a microprocessor chip. Quantum Numbers Corp. is licensing the technology to leading manufacturers and integrators to address the market needs for an affordable but secure hardware encryption solution.

A recent report by cybersecurity firm Keyfactor emphasizes IoT devices’ lack of adequate entropy sources, leading to serious cybersecurity shortcomings. Entropy provides the integrated cipher with the randomness required in order to generate strong keys that are difficult for adversaries to break. IoT devices like sensors, IP cameras and connected consumer devices are primarily designed for optimal performance, cost and battery life. These considerations leave little space or resources for sound encryption technology. Manufacturers that manage to include encryption into their products gravitate toward common asymmetric ciphers like RSA. However, device architecture often prohibits the inclusion of an entropy source the cryptosystem can leverage. The keys generated in these deployments, therefore, lack the degree of randomness that can keep adversaries from cracking the encryption and accessing the device.
