SMC Ventures Inc. Announces Management Changes

SMC Ventures Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Blockmint Technologies Inc. Upon closing of the Amalgamation W. Hugh Notman, David Howard and James Trotman will resign as directors of the company, W. Hugh Notman and James Trotman will resign as the company's officers and new directors and officers will be appointed, including Nelson Ijih as CEO, CTO and Director Daniel Beck as COO, Toni Allen as CFO, Steve Capone as a Non-executive Director, Justin Kurland as a Non-executive Director, Jeff Lightfoot as a Non-Executive Director and Erin Walmesley as Corporate Secretary. In addition, the Company intends to engage advisors to assist in the areas of technology, marketing, corporate governance and the like. The initial advisors engaged Philip Eytan and Oscar Salazar as Advisors. Mr. Ijih spent nine years working at Intel Corporation within the Data Center Group and Software Groups. Mr. Beck has worked as a financial and technical analyst for Cobalt 27 Capital Corp. Allen has previously worked at startups and has expertise in budgeting and forecasting, establishing financial controls, managing compliance and leading a team as a company grows its business. Mr. Capone brings seventeen years of experience in emerging technology and strategic marketing. Mr. Kurland has over eighteen years of experience in the financial securities industry having worked on both the sell-side and buy-side of the business. Mr. Kurland is a Partner at Portal Capital, LLC. Mr. Lighfoot is an active practicing member of the Law Society of British Columbia and a shareholder of the law firm of Owen Bird Law Corporation. Mr. Eytan started his career at Morgan Stanley in 2000 as an analyst in Telecom M&A. In 2014 Mr. Eytan co-founded Pager, at which he is currently the Chief Strategy Officer and a director. Mr. Salazar is a global leader in building consumer driven mobile applications and experiences.
