I am also an energy lawyer from Calgary and am a professional acquaintance of Jay’s (just a bit younger and not in his league). I bought into RECO big time early on based mainly on two things: the size and home run potential of the virgin basin, and as a close second my knowledge of Jay and his top-flight abilities and experience. For those of us in this business, it’s not an overstatement to say that he is one of the best, and best known, energy lawyers in the world.
