news incentives

news incentivesthere are three distinct groups with different agendas concerning the flow of news from the exploration of the kavango basin.

A) company management.  they want to keep information closely held to favor their bargaining position with farm out / jv counterparties.

B) namibian government.  they want results FAST.  they are more interested in the early beginning of the tax/royalty funds streamthan in what proportions of the profits go to recon/recaf and their counterparties.  also, they are politicians.  they want to look good to their constituents.

C) shareholders.  (two subgroups, long term holders and traders) they want a lively news flow to drive share price action.

there is considerable overlap between these groups.

the flow of news will reflect the interplay of the interests of all these groups. i look forward to the drama of the coming months.  i expect the outcome to be either good, better or best - anything but dull.
