Drilling update
So 1st well to hit TD by end of March. Initially scheduled to TD by end February (45 days from commencing on January 10th). Anybody want to read between the lines here? That's substantially longer than previously estimated, with no problems reported to date. So....?

No lines to read, my friend. Welcome to the wild world of exploratory drilling! Coring and logging takes time, the company isn't going to update the market every time they need to trip for a bit or swap the motor lol. Relax. This is superb news in my opinion.

I've worked on the drilling side of operations all over the world. And I can say that wells certainly take longer in different countries, not to mention Africa. The latest release says they will finish drilling by the end of March, could be the middle, could be first ten days of the month. I can't stress this enough, THIS IS NORMAL!

OK thanks. They seemed fairly confident of the timetable in a pre drill interview so I thought I'd try to get others take on it. Thanks for the insight

Probably wise to build these types of delays into our mental model. More important that work is ongoing in a careful and professional manner.
