Announcement? Weekend worries.

As to judomacco's post about the announcement, I have found that bad news is usually dumped on a late Friday pm - and especially going into a long holiday weekend such as the upcoming Canadien one. Good news in more frequently released early in the week.

This is why there usually is a lot of selling on Friday afternoons and buying a on Monday am - some don"t want to get caught holding the bag if something bad happens.

what's to keep NAMCOR (the namibian state oil company that holds 10% of the rights) from making the announcement whenever they please?  as partners, they are privy to all the information the company has, if the lab results were released early monday morning windhoek time, it would hit the north american news media about midnight  sunday evening, and be on the streets first thing ...more

Bro they cannot release news if one market is trading and the other is not trading. Even if they release it on Sunday, both markets MUST be open so there is an opportunity to all investors to buy or to sell the shares fairly.  If there is news, it will be on Tuesday.

The  contract for the core & well log analysis is between RECO and Core Labs etc. They will not give information to Namcor and RECO will want to have an opportunity to review the results first and to control the timing of the release for their best interest and shareholders interest. i agree and hope the results will be good though!! My guess is ...more

incorrect. namcor owns 10% of this. They will have right and access to all information, similar to any joint venture, as soon as it is available

I know we are in the hands of a very seasoned team at RECO. I believe the news will be good from the inferences  and tweets we've seen from IR's Grayson Andersen.  I also firmly believe that the news will be strategically timed with the long weekend in mind to inflict  as much damage as possible to the shorts.  stay strong and hang on through to the announcement ...more

Pretty sure news is next week, probably Tuesday. This isn't the kind of company to play games even amongst shorts.

Sorry CammerRec- The name is judomacCA not judomacacco. Just a correction to Ahole alley's usual assumption of devious action. Things are getting so bad down there that there can be no belief any more in companies being honourable and honest
