Its an index of consumer dscretionary purchasing power justr like the GDP is an index of economic change.

A recod of over $35 billion is nothing to sneeze at for such an index.

Obviously, you dont celebrate Mothers Day.

It involves much much more than greeting cards and flowers.

Jewelry is one of the top sales items, travel tickets, lots of clothes of all types , even autos which I bought my wife several years ago.

So, yes it is good consumer discretionary disoposable income index.

BTW, I am not in Egypt ..
