Onex To Buy ReitMans ? Dont Rule it out .
Look at the Indigo situation and our new CEO.
Note that all four directors who departed recently were independent directors leaving the Indigo board with three independent and three non-independent directors -- the latter including Mr. Ruis; Ms. Reisman's daughter, Andrea Johnson; and Ms. Reisman's husband, Onex chairman Gerald Schwartz, who is also Indigo's controlling shareholder.
Indigo and reitmans are both cash cows , low floats, no debt and both exist largely in malls .
Plus Schwartz likes these sort of companies because of their risk averse business
from which additional progits can be squeezed by integration synergies .
And, the Reitman Family legacy is surely nearing its familial end.
