A venture company typically isn't valued on the revenue they make because most of them make none

Simply not factual statement. Lots of venture companies make money, and thats how  companies are valued. They are not valued by some starry eyed wishful thinking that they are great companies, no,  they are valued by revenues, profits, etc... A venture company is no diffrent than other companies on any other exchange. I have never read of a company being valued by wishful thinking, but
