Would be first to bid on rather than pipelines and gas stations... But whose big enough to take these on? Might take some time for someone to come forward.

I always thought it would be interesting if Conoco bought it.  If they paid $13 billion for the whole of Citgo they'd get a large portion of that back from their two suits, and own Citgo for a song. I think the FTC would have an issue with anti-trust, though.

Many companies are interested in bidding for Citgo. From the Bloomberg Article: Companies such as Marathon Petroleum Corp. and Valero Energy Corp. would be in the first group, Piedrahita said, while private equity funds may be interested because of Citgo’s competitiveness and ability to generate cash. Independent refiners might be interested, too.
