AN IDEA ?

AN IDEA ?Fortune describes their geology with,
felsics ( potassium ) which to me points to the - pink quartz / feldspars.

Fortune also describes their geology as.
Brecciated.
If one looks close enough.. .one will see ( chunks - shards - sharp angled small rocks )
with in the exposed rock.  Most likely a fracture amongst the bungow with a quartz seem revealing other geology other than, irons. Though irons are seen as one moves outsdie the quartz.

It's littered with - lichen. ( all atop )

Drilling is expensive.
But... how fast could one quadron off a grid and collect a variety of lichen - perform special assaying that could detect - copper - cobalt - bismuth- uranium - moly - and of course, gold.

Thing is... cobalt is a bugger to detect.
One study i posted on another bullboard - reported that cobalt was hard to leach out - when using acid test leaching - it was the last to leach - which brings into play - if last to leach and lab personel rushes the leach process too quickly - the cobalt remians behind.

Hence - peroxide assaying and other means such as... polarized light detection.

Here's a beautful core specimen -
Lot's going on in this core - chlorites - maybe argillites at right open face end - quartzs veining and well.. something darker looking that the quartz...
If one really expands the photo - there's this brilliant royal blue that seems to correlate with the light grey veinlettes -

IN THIS - HISTORICAL CORE RACK PHOTO -
I can see distinct - blue swirls - in the bottom left - 2nd core rack.

There's another rack - only one - with really old disseminated cores.
Lots of irons.. but there's also a distinct blue tinge amongst the broken down irons.

THIS LICHEN GROWING ON ROCK - IS QUITE INTERESTING -
As we now know... lichen can ( uptake / absorb 0 minerals on thier host rock.
THIS LICHEN IS- ORANGE.
I've comeacross research papers on - uranium - that is orange.
URANIUM  METAL IS GREY....
But with in the lichen... they have acids that assimilate the minerals - think of the lichen as a lab assayor - lol - their acids - couldthey convert a mineral to a lab assay color ?

I asked mysefl... could this range ever have folded ?
Doesn't look like it.. it moreso looks like it was just an upheave.

WHILE THIS PHOTO - DOES SHOW THE STRATIGRAPHY - DID FOLD -
AND CREATED A  LENSE SEQUENCE - ONE CAN SEE THE BANDING OF LENSES.
Which may mean - if one is atop the - range - and finds a fissure of quartz ( seam ) it could very well be a seam that forms as a sandwich effect.

Which begs... how many of these seams could present ?
Quartz with all those greys ?

Why... i keep reminding myself of Fortunes - brecciated - cobalt ores.
Those fissure quartz seams would definitely break and become - brecciated upon range folding and placing itself on its side.

Trick here is... there's lots of lichen covering the entire - range.
Finding more - quartz seams - atop of range - and running - width wise - looking for severa lof these seams - that would run length wise - i guess the width orientation would be - SW TO NE
covering shortest width distances looking for each potential - seam.
I figure if one did find several seams - they'd run from top to bottom - legth wise if entire range
uplifted on its side. Covering the middle section... would most likely find best resuts.
Then track them... 

A good metal detector might help -
scanning the ground looking for - no iron - could be a fast way to track the seams.
lighter signals than a heavy iron detection. 
Yeah... i have one....lol
If one gets into the irons.. it never shuts up.
If outside of iron... silent.
Hnece... look ofr the silent zones - quartz seams.

YUP... went through each of Rover's facebook photos - there's lots of iron up there.
One of the photos shoed very nice quartz and silvery mineralization - but... in the thick of the irons.

I stil lthink... using asimple metaldetector - run the unit across the width sectons looking for
quartz seams with - no iron - signals.... could be a very quick path the locating these markers under all the lichen. fast track.

Testing these outside of iron formations... along the range...
Looking for similar minerals as - Foruntes.
Keeping to or looking for the brecciated seams .
Sending a geologist up - that hates gold - and is into battery metals ...
Specifically copper, cobalt, bismuths...
I've always said... never send a gold miner on a mission ot find battery metals.
They'll stray... and Visa Versa.

Testing the lichen... different lichen coloration = could spell = different minerals - .
Retesting the historicla and recent cors for other minerals .
Type of assaying is iimperitve.

If Ray Mine ( half way in between Rover and Fortune ) had the copper, cobalt, bismuth, urnaium.... then... maybe outside this Rover iron formation exists the same mineralizations.

The only OTHER thing i can think of is ...
reverting back to Aber resources - historical cores.
THERE'S IRON ON THE CORES - NO DOUBT.
Iron's can be seen - oxidizing  ( brown, reds )

Yet... a distinct BLUE HUE can still be seen to this day....
Which begs... if its not a hematite, or magnetite, irons...
What is making this blue oxidation ?

Aber... at time of drilling would not have seen a potential - cobalt or copper.
Which begs... did Aber only peform - gold - assaying ?

I'd love to grab some of those historical BLUE  cores
have them... reassayed  for cobalt, copper, bismuth.

Wouldn't hurt to tests a few of Abers - oxidized - historical cores - blues....
Maybe the seams is not where other minerals are at...
Maybe - selectively defined - hematite - magnetite - iron zones ?
Not the brown irons... but the hematites and magnestites...
IF.... other minerals are present.

IF  cobalt or other were present...
pinpoint the former drill holes - test the lichen there... 
Find same kind of lichen coloration elsewhere ?
