RE: Monday dividend announcement

RE: Monday dividend announcement

hawk, I don't think RPL will touch the dividend until they announce their decisions following the financial review, even if they currently can't afford the dividend. To simply announce a cut or elimination of the dividend without presenting a complete and clear path forward (debt reduction plan, asset sales, future capex, etc.) would likely lead to a significant decline in the sp. They can't do this thing piecemeal. They have to come up with a complete / doable / believeable plan and announce it all at once. Again, I'm willing to be patient (even though I think they should try to have their decisions made by the end of this month as silence or stonewalling at or after the AGM will likely hurt the sp). One chance. Take more time if needed but get it right. Do what is in the best interest of shareholders. The goal can't be stated any clearer than that IMO.
