RE:L2 Bids stacking!
RE:L2 Bids stacking!I see a few of those orders that say "between the b/a" and I have a question that you may be able to answer.
Lets say there is a spread of 0.52x100 / 0.53x100
I'll put a limit order at 0.53x200 in so its effectively a market order, but I dont want to pay 0.54 for any of my shares. Rational being I will become the new Bid, first in line, so anyone else who comes in to sell at 0.53 will trigger the remainder of my order.
But I've found that more times than not, When I go back and look at my order history, I'll end up with a full order, all 200blocks at a strike price of 0.525
Can anyone explain why thats happening? I'm not complaining, I saved a half-penny per share, but its still a bit odd to me.
The only thing that I can think of is that someone came in right before I sent my order and said "sell at 0.52" and the new Ask became 0.52, and the market is saying "1nd3x will pay 0.53, and Mr.X will sell at 0.52 so lets give Mr.X a half-penny more, and let 1nd3x pay a half-penny less"...but it happens more than enough that it seems unlikely that this is the case, plus, any time I've put a sell order in on the CSE for something (because my feed is delayed 15mins) If my Sell limit order was for 0.50, and the Bid was actually at 0.55, I'd get the full 0.55/share
