Splay?By my estimation, Drill Hole CA-20-01 did not go far enough to intercept the major EW Fault Zone. From the LIDAR map, I interpret the fault to be curved, with the apex pointing to the north. The western flank of this major EW fault is located some distance to the south of the Main Gold Zone. Therefore, the core fault zone doesn't seem to have been intercepted. The end of the hole gave some fault breccia material, so perhaps the hole was getting closer to the main core fault zone. Isn't the fault breccia zone generally located near the periphery of the core fault zone?
However, there was a very encouraging gold intercept picked up in a mineralized quartz vein in this hole (25.15m of 3.54 g/t Au, within 33.1m of 2.81 g/t Au). Could this be a splay fault off the main EW fault?
