No, I don't think the sentiment is typical, since I don't believe this is a bottom.  I think this is a crash, not a correction, with no end in sight.  How many times do we have to hear the phrase "global financial crisis" before we acknowledge we are in a prolonged crash?
What else do you call consistent triple digit losses for an index?   or a 50% drop in 3 months on the venture exchange?  Or millions of people who have watched their life savings cut by 20 to 30% in the past quarter?  Or millions more who are watching their homes actually LOSE value for a change.  18 months ago, and for 10 years prior to that, if you mentioned the possibility of home values dropping, you would literally get laughed out of the room.  lol

Sure, we may see a bottom in the near future... but if history has told us anything it's told us that bottoms (after a prolonged crash) last a very, very, very long time...
