Sterling Metals (TSXV: SAG) began drilling at the Sail Pond project in Newfoundland one month ago. The 2022 exploration program focuses on drilling, regional target generation, and project enhancement.
Drilling is focused on the 2021 Heimdall Zone discovery, as well as exploring for new zones in highly prospective targets along the 12 km trend. The target generation team will complete further soil sampling, geological mapping, and prospecting.
Drilling officially commenced on June 15, so I expect to hear updates on the company’s progress this month. Newfoundland has been getting a lot of buzz lately as the next big Canadian gold/silver district, so I’m really excited to hear updates from Sterling.
$SAG.v shares are currently seeing some consolidation after running up over 50% in June. $SAG.v is currently trading at $.32, valued at $22.32 million.
