General comment on Salt re macro

I hold far too many shares. Why? Because unlike most small e and p companies in mining, salt has proven the salt is there In abundance. Also we know the market for the product is there and we kn ow the resource is easily accessible. If there is any sanity left in this market proper valuation should come . In my opinion I thought that would be 5 to 10 per share and anything higher would be fantastic and wel omed. A buyout ? 10 or more bucks)after fs completion was my hope and preference as I need the cash sooner than later. Thought the spinout was not worth much at all and wish they never did it. This sp massacre hurts a ton. But will wait for fs snd aftermath to hopefully exit on buyout. JAN.23 perhaps? There are some useful comments on this board and a whole lot of garbage too. There are shorts and pumpers alike. Quite transparent. Serious investors? Not enough in the stock and only a few show up here. The downdraft came with market overall. Profit takers with no intention of holding longer term.

This is a very simple project that should eventually generate above $100M US of after-tax profit per year. On top of this, it really becomes a strategic asset for anyone in the salt business. Not having control of this asset would mean serious competition when it comes to bidding on contracts. My opinion is that the NPV and selling price will be above $1B US. IMO. MoneyK

Both VUL and SALT retraced around 50% from the last run. I'm not an expert, but feel this is normal and healthy before the next leg. IMO. MoneyK

They can easily pull in $500+ million profit per year (canadian dollars) once the mine gets ramped up in the first couple of years (ramped up hehe)

Yes, 10M tons @ $40 US profit could give a $500M CA profit, but that means a cost of $20 US per ton maximum! IMO. MoneyK

Last season the cost of salt was hitting $80/ton. There has been an increase in wholesale price of about 16% possibly more this season. That brings the per ton price of salt to $90 can or about $69/ton usd. So either more profit or covers more expenses or less tonage required its all just a guessing game at this point buy Rowland did say it will operate at a fraction of the cost at godridge which ...more

I sure hope they will build this FS with the intention of selling and not make it too conservative. e.g. start with 4M tons + increase up to 8-10M quickly. I liked the Goderich report, because they increased the selling price every year.  Hope they do the same here. MoneyK
