As you may know, the 43rd Parliament convened for the first time on December 5, 2019, following the general election of October 21. No legislation is currently on notice for consideration by the House of Commons, and the committees of the House have not been constituted as of yet. They will likely start to do so the week of January 27, 2020, upon the return to session of the House.
As such, we suggest you contact the Member of Parliament you mentioned in your email for more information on the possible introduction of any motion or legislation addressing sport betting and any subsequent appearance before a committee of the House.
