Managed to connect with Tony early
Very impressive, energetic and knowledgeable guy but he would not get into talking about revenue or earnings targets.
His vision is to turn S7 into the best little interconnect specialty company worth a couple of billion in a few years. Now that they've planted six or seven vertical market seeds he wants next to grow these into solid and growing revenues in the next few years.
Data centre sample cables are being introduced to the a few of the largest data centre companies with revenues starting at the end of this year and growing next. Even 2.5% of the $4.2 billion data centre cable market is $100 million a year in revenues.
To clarify, S7 makes the chips that are then turned into final cable products by a number of mostly Chinese cable companies to meet S7's specifications.
As I thought, design-ins involve engineers from S7 dealing with engineers from the client company and the two coming to agreement on what is needed in the cable and the end product to achieve their goals. Its also a great lopportunity for S7 to learn what the market needs.
We need to stop fretting over daily price changes and focus on the long term potential of this company. There are likely to be lumps in revenues until the various markets start to grow this year and next. If you believe in the compamy as I do, you can use dips as opportunities to add. And relax and enjoy the ride.
