RE:RE:RE:RE:Correction: I Incorrectly said 3.2 Million cables.Hey Champ, thanks for chiming in with your 6 points of confirmation required.
Unfortunately, just like in Holden we can see the companies who,e cards and are subject to trying to draw some assumptions from the information we have been given.
1. Cisco Systems estimates between 400-600 hyperscale data centers to be built annually starting from 2015. (100 servers per center)
2.Sam came op with an estimate of close to 3 million cables per center
3.90% could be fulfilled ny Spectra’s ACC Cables
4.They have multiple Design ins that they have confirmed, but no confirmation of Design wins to date
5.The company states they have a minimum of 55% Gross Profit
6. Selling prices per cable in the neighborhood of $15
I think the best approach is to try and come up with some conservative estimates that could be attainable under reasonable assumptions!
I like Sams projections, even if we cut g
his assumptions in half))
The company has announced 3 major production partners to produce and ship their cables to spec and 3 others that they are unable to announce at this time.
That seems like a pretty big lineup of component manufacturers that could end up producing a few cables for their customers.
I am not sure if each component manufacturer (Foxconn-Luxshare) is producing , shipping and invoicing for the cables that end up at the server manufacturer for finally assembly of the server boxes.
Not sure which company or companies is doing the final assembly of the server, might be a good question to research.
