900 watts in savings x .06 kw charge = .54 cents in savings per 32 port per day
.54 cents savings x 365 days = $197 per year in savings
$197 annual savings per server x 100,000 32 port = $19,000,000 in annual savings per DC
$19,000,000 x 90% in potentially replaceable cables = $17,739,000 million in annual savings
The actual average rate per kw is closer to .08-.10 cents here in the US. No idea what the rates are in China!!!!
Pretty crazy how $197 in saving per 32 port x 100,000 servers can add up to so much savings...
The basis for this assumption is 32 port rack, and if there is an interconnect required per port, that could be replaceable with the company’s exclusive and patented technology.
Their patent claims must be pretty strong to keep from getting knocked off in Asia!
