RE:VRLooks like some or all of the inventory “Overhang” was burnt off over Q3!
I believe the Rift and Vive sales accounted for about 500,000 tethered units during this time frame if I read the numbers correctly!
Also, if not mistaken they use the $5 chip sets per unit provided by S7.
That would of resulted in about $2.5 million in revenue for the company if they weren’t sitting on so much excess inventory.
So let’s hope the old inventory is sold and now needs to be replenished, and could maybe just maybe provide a “LIFT” to Q4 revenue as we already know Q3 was only $1.2 million!
I am speculating 100,000 initial DC chip sets were sold to the Asian companies, which could result in revenue of $1-1.5 million at hopefully the 60% GP they have been producing until Q3 drop off.
If we get a lift of 200,000 VR chip sets @ $5 ea, could add another $1 million to the kitty.
My estimate or (guess) was for Q4 to come in at a level of $2 million low side and 3 million high side sales estimates for Q4.
I think the market would feel comfortable with this result, if the “expected ramp” continues in the DC space with forward positive guidance from management.
In my opinion, they really need to see Q1 2019 to come in at a range of $3 million low and $5 million high side sales estimates to gain any meaningful traction and significant share price appreciation!
Personally, I would be thrilled to see them hit these numbers and build the companys top line off of these base figures!
These estimates or guesses are simply my opinion and not supported by anything other than just that!
Hoping the company will perform like the beginning of “The Wave” at a major sports stadium and we can all stand and cheer one day as we will really deserve this moment to release all this pent up frustration and endless waiting faithfully!!!!!
(kind of like the Cubs fans when the finally went DEEP)
