RE:8 Interconnects from Cisco, Intel, Etc. use Spectra7 Chipstradersam99 wrote: That is my favorite line from today's press release:
"including leading switch and silicon makers Cisco, Arista, Juniper and Intel. Spectra7 technology is well represented in the demo and includes speeds of 25G, 100G and 400G and form factors including SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD and OSFP. In all, there are 8 interconnects that include Spectra7 chips"
Another point of interest is that they are even in the lower speed cables. It says they are in
25G, 100G and 400G and form factors including SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD and OSFP. I thought 25G would not need Spectra7. I asumed that it was not until 100G and up that Active Copper became important. This is good, as it menas we are likely selling chips for the 25G right now, the 100G also now and well into the future, and 400G soon.
