You figure if they gave a weather report it might prove someone is still alive. Maybe they're waiting for gold to go over $2000 -- not sure how many years that might take. As long as the Fed and big banks are in collusion to keep the price of gold down it may take a long time. They want to keep the U.S dollar as the reserve currency so they will do anything to scuttle other currencies including gold. Gold is such a small market it does not take a lot to put a lid on it.
