Largest Copper shipment leaves Massawa, EritreaThe shipment belongs to Nevsun Resources Ltd., a Vancouver-based mining company with an operating mine in Eritrea. Nevsun’s 60%-owned Bisha Mine commenced commercial copper concentrate production in December 2013 and ranks according to the company as one of the highest grade open pit copper mines in the world.

The shipment left Massawa exactly after 12 months of successful shipping operations at the Bisha Mine. The first ever shipment of copper concentrates from Eritrea was in October 2013. The mining company announced yesterday that it will report its financial and operational results for Q3 on Thursday, October 30, 2014.
