RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Pending AssaysThe fact of the matter is Inductively Coupled Plasma mass spectrometry is fantastic for assays and I believe is the global benchmark for assaying results due to the fact that can pick up quantities of mineralization that are extremely minute. However it cannot reliably assay grades of over 1% copper or 10000ppm.
Lets take a look at the holes first....480 metres isnt necessarily deep, however 862 isgetting pretty extensive. I side with Jstylez when he says no one is going to drill a hole that deep just because. If they were drilling that deep it almost assures me that they were drilling something worth their while. Also, theres no way a shallow IP would ever reveal anything that deep so likely they must have found something near surface that warranted further drilling. This is not to say the whole hole is over 1% copper, but intervals deemed 'significant' would have to be reassayed for reprentation as a material fact under the exchanges rules.
Its noteworthy though that they did have some fairly good historical numbers....120m of .92g/t Au is fairly significant value for gold when going after a porphyry system, and also they had one hole on the eastern edge of the anomaly that left of in .58% copper.
In context the average grade of a producing copper mine in the world right now is probably about .4......so if we have one or even more significant intervals of over 1% mineralization it wont take a lot to start bringing the grade up fantastically.
Common sense dictates no one is going to keep drilling at about $300/m for 862 metres if they havent hit something....its fairly standard procedure to drill a set amount and if you havent hit anything you change the location. I am curious to see what that one hole does hold. Another clue (IMO) was revealed by the announcement that they now wish to a deep penetrating IP.....something tells me the contents of that hole may have changed the game here.
Sunrise has the advantage of having lots of historical data to guide the drilling process currently....its also noteworthy that Man-Prime is close to Tecks Highland Valley copper mine.
Chances are timely dissemination rules were what made Sunrise issue this news, anyone know if theres been insider buying recently because my guess is they would be blacked out.
In short...having to re-assay because ICP couldnt do the job is reassuring to me.
