Please notice how late in the day most of the volume occurred. Also notice more than several large crosses by anonymous. Simple attempts at creating liquidity in an iliquid market. Like it or not, this stock is being manipulated, and shorting is one of the tools.
You are right, price will eventually straighten it self out.

Agree completely. In fact, about 80% of the volume occurred in a few minutes late in the day with no price change. This stuff works with nervous nellies/small retail fish who own shares or those considering a Newfoundland play. The latter get drawn into stocks like LAB/NFLD (I am not knocking these companies) which seem to move higher for no apparent reason other than speculation/momemtum etc. Then fundamentals appear, and SIC will move higher which is should relative to the others and someone is left holding the bag. You make money by shorting SIC and going long on LAB/NFLD and even NFG. The the opposite happens. I am simplying this but this does happen.
I do not think naked shorting should be allowed. Regular shorting a stock with implementation of the uptick rule is healthy for the market.
