Pescod'scomments todaySTERLING RESOURCES (V-SLG) $2.00 +0.01

In looking back over the past year, there are some people
we have big thanks for in steering us out of the worst
market mess we’ve seen in our generation.
Abby Badwi who played host when we toured Bankers
Petroleum’s assets in Albania; Jim Letourneau of the Big
Picture Speculator who has been following Wavefront Energy
for so long; the Coffin Brothers for their idea of East
Asia Minerals; Nicolas Campbell, the gold guy with Canaccord
for Keegan and several other gold stocks, and on and
on.

Kevin Shaw of Wellington West was one of the best and
it’s ironic that he is one of three of our favorite analysts
(yes folks, not one but three analysts now have it as their
top pick) and we are referring to Sterling Resources as their
top pick.

Expect us to be following this story closely in the coming
year because they have a huge handful of projects that
will be getting a look/see in the coming year. Shaw reminds
us that he makes a difference between domestic
plays and offshore plays and international plays and Sterling
would be his top in the international setting. While
many have a mere target of $3.00 to $3.50 on Sterling,
should there be exploration success, you know how targets
are revised upward…we will be following it closely
and we own a bunch!
