Southern Empire Resources Corp. is a Canada-based exploration stage company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of metals and minerals deposits in the American southwest and northern Mexico. It is particularly focused on those that are amenable to lower-cost metal extraction methodologies, such as heap leaching. The Company's metals and minerals exploration projects include the Pedro, Centauro and La Loma Gold Projects in Mexico, the VLM Project in Mexico, the Oro Cruz Project in California and the Eastgate Gold Project in Nevada, United States. In the Suaqui Grande area of Sonora, (approximately 140 kilometers southeast of Hermosillo) it also holds the Suaqui Verde Copper Oxide Project and VLM Property. The Pedro Gold Project is located in the Mapimi mineral district with approximately 1,788 hectares (ha). The VLM Project has approximately 647 ha, which is located in northwestern Mexico. The Company owns around 85% of the Eastgate Gold Project.

SOUTHERN EMPIRE COMPLETES ORO CRUZ PHASE 1 SONIC DRILLING OF HISTORICAL HEAP LEACH PADS

Southern Empire Resources Corp. has completed phase 1 sonic drilling of the American Girl and Padre y Madre historical heap leach pads at its Oro Cruz gold project in Imperial county, California.

The sonic drilling portion of the phase 1 program completed Jan. 26, 2021, with 20 holes drilled (10 holes each on the American Girl and Padre y Madre historical heap leach pads) for a total of 318.8 metres (1,046 feet). Additional details of this program are available in the Southern Empire news releases dated Nov. 17, 2020, and Jan. 13, 2021. The drilling of the Padre y Madre heap was reduced from 17 holes to 10 during this phase of work to accommodate unforeseen issues relating to levelling the sites and shallow-depth limitations, both issues that can be easily resolved in subsequent planned drill programs.
