It's interesting .. though the market is crazy right now, and bearish to be sure, what I do see is several Juniors, with very serious discoveries and/or acquisitions already in their hip pocket raising big dough really fast. Thirth million dollar million dollar Bought deals that close in one day just don't happen very often.
My gut feel is that this is the next sector to get a big lift. Yes, you can still make money on mid and large cap energy stocks if you play your cards right, but the Juniors I have in my portfolio have all made very significant discoveries or acquisitions and like Southern, have gotten No lift. But as these companies execute (Interestingly all looking to be north of 25,000 boe/d in short order) me thinks there are going to be Big moves north (Or South if they miss).
All IMHO .. but it sure seems to me to be a lot of pressure behind pipe.
