RE:Question re gaps ...It's worth doing some reading on the different types of gaps and what causes them.
Simply put, if you look at Friday's closing price of 0.35 and Monday's open at 0.40, that was a gap in which no trading occurred. As Monday went on, the price dropped to 0.38, partially filling the gap. However, there's still a gap.
Gaps don't need to fill, but they tend to fill. Traders know this, algos "know" this, and that contributes to that tendency. They don't always fill and there's virtually no logical reason why they should. It just tends to happen around 90% of the time. So for me, I'm much happier when they fill and I don't have to have that in the back of my mind.
