Regarding the "Little Guy"...I mean the grey/black market growers. The Canadian Gov wants to reduce/remove the grey/black market but by this "build it before you apply" BS is BS. The cost to build a fully regulated and 'clean room' environments is close to $300/sq ft...not including the cost of land, building or lease. So, for the Micro Cultivation wannabe growers, for the 2150sqft canopy, that would cost close to $650K just for the canopy space...then you need ancilary space, dry/cure/trim/storage/office/washrooms, etc...add another 50% on top of that. So now...the Micro guy (little guy) has to put up over 1M (not including property) before he/she can appy for a license...that is fkn rediculous. I'm trying to get into the Micro market, but this new news just floored me.
