SVG Has Been Around Since 1989?Couple of issues that are holding this stock back is this company is classified as a "Life Style" company that for years has done next to nothing to advance the properties. Pure and simple.
Meaning, management uses it to live off of and write checks for themselves and have for decades. These folks simply arn't serious explorers, promoters or money raisers.
With only two or three people running the shell its difficult for three decades of crappy management to be removed and replaced. Hence the reason for the management structure in its current form. They arn't stupid but shareholders are left holding their d***ks with nothing to show for waiting.
An additional issue is they own no properties 100% outright. They only hold small 20% to 50% interests in a hodge podge of properties which are difficult to move the needle. The big boys simply arn't interested in micro-percentage plays.
One huge positive is they have kept the O/S very low which is great, but poor and apathetic management is almost too toxic and difficult to overcome no matter how good the area play may be on paper.
I'd love to hear some opposing views that are serious!
