Interesting situation in the Rare Earths

Interesting situation in the Rare Earths

BNN discussed the Rare Earth Metal dilemma this AM (Jan.04/11)

The reason I find rare earth elements compelling is their high value and they have been found in our Nash Creek Property.   Below FYI, is a list of the newest REE prices that I located.  It would not take a large amount of REEs to double the value of the Nash Creek property as you can see by the prices below!

Rare Earth Metal Companies share prices have sky-rocketed in the last month and continue today!!

The Benjamin Creek property (similar composition to our Nash creek) contains a very high ratio of the Heavy  to Light RRE (over 10X more than in any known ore body) , an extremely rare combination that is only found in one other ore body on the planet…..in China of course.   Rumors are that there is a small deposit in Australia too.  The USA California  REE ore body  does not contain the HREEs.  Interesting that the Chinese are not exporting their REEs but also IMPORTING whatever they can get.

Even better, the Ben Cr.  property contain a low Thorium concentration {less 50ppm} (a radio active poisonous metal ).  Its absence  in high amounts makes the metallurgy of recovery cheaper and safer!

If you thought gold/silver/platinum/palladium were expensive take a look at some below:

To compare: Gold at $45/gram ($1400/0z) =$45,000/kg. :  Silver at $1.00/gram ($31.10/oz)= $1,000/kg.

Cerium                 $55/kg

Dysprosium          $415/kg

Erbium                  $650/kg

Europium              $800/kg

Gadolinium           $59/kg

Holmium               $100/gram  ($100,000/kg)

Lanthanum           $5/gram       ($5,000/kg)

Lutetium               $280/gram  ($280,000kg)

Neodymium          $120/kg

Praseodymium     $120/kg

Samarium             $65/kg

Terbium                $790/kg

Thulium                 $50/gram     ($50,000/kg)

Ytterbium              $75/ounce

Yttrium                  $75/ounce

Interesting or what?  In any case a nice side show!
