ASHBURTON VENTURES EVALUATES RESULTS OF GEOPHYSICAL WORK COMPLETED ON THE CHUKUNI PROPERTY IN RED LAKE, ONTARIO
AshburtonVentures Inc.'s results from the induced polarization surveyhave nowbeen received by its consultant for the Chukuni property inRed Lake,Ont. Compilation of the data has identified five potentialdrill targetsbased on coincident chargeability/resistivity anomalies.The potentialtargets include chargeable/resistive zones in theinterpreted fold noseof the Howey diorite, the diorite/mafic volcaniccontact plussulphide-bearing zones within the mafic volcanic unit tothe north ofthe Howey intrusive.
A follow-up work program is now under wayto prioritize thetargets via prospecting over the geophysicalanomalies. Where outcropis lacking soil sampling will be undertaken toevaluate the anomalies.
The Chukuni property lies 3.5 kilometressouth of Goldcorp'sRed Lake-Campbell mine complex, currently one ofCanada's largest andrichest Archean gold deposits. Goldcorp's RedLake-Campbell minecomplex produced 629,000 ounces of gold in 2008.Ashburton Ventures hasan option agreement with Solitaire Minerals Corp.to acquire a60-per-cent interest in the Chukuni property consisting ofthreeclaims, covering 2,035 acres in the Red Lake mining districtofOntario. Andrew Tims, PGeo, will be operating as thecompany'squalified person under National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Timshasreviewed the technical content of this news release and confirmsitsaccuracy.
