I was noticing the same thing. Bigger volume and better sentiment. Buyers hitting the asks vs the sellers hitting the bids.
Realization that the US slowdown isn't affecting commodities is slowly dawning on the masses. And what happens when the monetary stimulus from lower interest rates starts to kick in? Even the typical nimrod investor is starting to figure it out - that the hype over subprime is vastly over done - that 3 B Chindians doen't give a ratz azz what the geniuses in NYC do with their worthless SIVs, CDOs and the rest of the alphabet soup they are in.
