64M$ of Market Cap????

How can we explain that WHG has the same MC than AZM after 3 days on the stock market and no substantiated geological results while AZM has a gold deposit already as per the PR of this morning?
Comment by NorthBayBob on Nov 30, 2020 7:23pm
WHG has a defined resource on their project already: 500,000 ounces gold and 7 million ounces silver. AZM does not have a resource estimate published on Elmer yet. Not commenting on valuation for either company, but AZM is an earlier stage explorer than WHG.

Thanks Bob,  We are the first to engage in a conversation on this stock on Stockhouse.  Good luck.

Same to you. No position in WHG yet but it's on my watchlist. I like AZM and glad to see it bouncing back today, some of this year's drill results are a lot better than the market gave them credit for. It's difficult to make a new discovery and hit it out of the park right away.

Bob, according to the numbers you provide me on Monday, WHG has close to 600 000 ounces of gold equivalent (incorporating silver).  At roughly 200$ and ounce of gold in the ground, the MC should be around 120 M$ which should give 2.80$ per share.  Theoretically, it is where the share price should land before the next exploration results come out if gold stays around 1800$/ounce.  ...more

Yes that's a good way to value a company in ballpark terms, especially when no economic study has been released yet as is the case here. Historically I'd use a lower $ per ounce ratio, but as you point out gold is around $1800 so some explorers could trade at higher multiples than they have in the past. There are many factors to consider, but the market has already bid this up to $2.10 ...more

Good discussions on the MC based on ounces in the ground.  An inportand note to consider is that this is a mine - with exploration upside.  WHG has a re-furbished camp for 50, miles and miles of tunnels, all season access roads and associated infrastructure in good shape to get up and running.  In short, WHG could be considered a junior producer.....or will be hopefully in 2021 ...more
