Pleasant Surprise The last couple of Tinka press releases referred questions to corporate secretary Mariana Bermudez. I called her yesterday with low expectations; what a pleasant surprise, she breezed through my few questions, and a little indignantly corrected a misunderstanding of mine.
We were bemoaning the general malise in the jr. mining sector, and Tinka specifically, when I suggested that Carman could make some good news if he opened his wallet and bought some Tinka common in the public market. She said that Graham already has a big position. I countered with yes but I would like to see him spend his own cash, like John Nebocat did, and that holdings as a result of a grant didn't have the same significance as a cash investment by an insider. I could hear her feathers ruffling in the background. She assured me that Tinka has never just given grants, and that all management and directors paid something for their stock one way or another.
I went to Canadian Insider after the call, and the management records aren't showing...too old. But I believe her, my mistake, and retract some of the harsh remarks I made after the Darwin takeover.
Other simi-interesting business, Ms. Bermudez thinks some additional I.P. work has just been concluded, and drills are expected to be on the property this month.
