Theralase Technologies Inc. is a Canada-based clinical-stage pharmaceutical company. The Company is engaged in the research and development of light activated compounds and their associated drug formulations. The Company develops products both internally and using the assistance of specialist external resources.

I believe you are correct on that point as bad news would be treated as "material, non-public" information and would need to be disclosed to the public as soon as possible. Kind of like disclosure that a resource company would need to provide to the marketplace when a resource estimate has been put out there and new assays prove otherwise.
