RE:RE:FDA FAST TRACKS CANCER TREATMENTI'm not sure a lot of you folks know this but oncolytic viruses have been around for a long time and many companies have, and are, persuing them with various degrees of success. 20 years or so ago I invested in ONC (Oncolytics TSX.V - ONCY stateside) which has developed the so-called reovirus, a common gut virus that had rather mild side effects when administered other than their dastardly effect on cancer cells. They are still an active concern based in Calgary. Not sure what indications they're working on at the moment - lost interest years ago but some of you may wish to check it out. They are an example of a company that lost focus and had so many things going on that they ran out of money. Instead of following one indication to conclusion, they started trialing in multiple indications and simply were not able to bring any one clinical trial to fruition. I believe they may have been granted orphan drug status on something recently.
