RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:The elitist, left wing snowflakes at NASA weigh in....Woundedknee ... Then I assume that NYC and other major cities are just spending billions of $$$ in climate change infrastructures just for hype, just for fun, just because they don't have anything else more serious to spend money on, right? lolll
And probably that the Society of
Civil Engineers Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Climate are just a bunch of leftists too that have an agenda, right? Bah!!! Why not!
I also assume that you master more the situation than the Deputy Commissioner New York City Design & Construction, right? And that he's probably responding to a democratic related command, right? The problem is that these are projects
planned years in advanced, based and backed by sciences, facts, reality, models, etc ...
Miami: 2018: How Cities Are Upgrading Infrastructure to Prepare for Climate Cha 22 oct. 2018 - Miami is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to raise roads in response ... 2019: 2014:

Miami and the Costs of Climate Change - Risk Management and Decision Processes Center
As a city sitting virtually at sea level, Miami has been called “ground zero” for the problems posed by climate change, a place where rising sea levels threaten its very future existence. The latest (2013) IPCC forecast of sea level rise, for example, predicts that by later this century, global sea levels will be 2 feet higher than they are today, and quite possibly higher. And that’s actually not the worst of it: under higher sea levels, the Biscayne aquifer—where southeast Florida draws its drinking water—will increasingly suffer from salt-water intrusion, a problem for which there is no foreseen solution other than the investment of billions of dollars in water-treatment facilities. Dept. of Homeland Security - NYC Region - Water Infrastructure Resilience - Planning for Climate Resiliency You should particularly pay attention to some slides:
... p.6 ...The NYC Panel on Climate Change (NPCC) projects increased chronic climate hazards ... and increased impact from extreme weather events
By the 2050s:
Number of days in NYC above 90: could triple
By the 2050s:
4.1oF to 5.7oF increase in average temperature
4% to 11% increase in average annual precipitation
Sea levels likely to rise 1-2 ft.; maybe 2½ ft.
By 2100: High-end projections may reach 6 ft.
... p.7 ... NYC Precipitation Trends (data from 1900 - today)
- Precipitation seems to be coming in the form of more intense storms
- Variability of precipitation has become more pronounced
... p.8 ... First came Irene and Lee
... p.9 ... And then Sandy
... p.10 ... Future flood risk
... etc ...

Have to agree with Birch..40 50 years ago they(scientists) were saying a new ice age was fast approaching and just 10 or so years ago Al Gore was practically saying that New york would be half under water by now. And according to AOC we only have about 11 years now until world's end.
Hate to get caught up in these discussions, but it's one of my weaknesses.
Back to TLT, I believe with over 17 mil in the bank we are full speed ahead and all downhill from here. Just have to wait out the MMs. gl
